Expected Outcomes

Students will develop stronger reading habits, increase their reading frequency, and show greater enthusiasm for both fiction and non-fiction books. The use of Brag Tags will boost motivation, build confidence, and create a positive reading culture in the classroom. Outcomes will be measured by tracking the number of Sunshine State and Orange Blossom books each student reads, the Brag Tags earned, and informal assessments such as reading logs, book discussions, and student feedback. Improvement in reading stamina and participation will also be observed throughout the year.

Purpose of Funding

Grant funds will be used to purchase Sunshine State and Orange Blossom books, as well as Brag Tags to reward student reading achievements. These materials will support the goal of increasing student engagement and motivation to read. Each time a student completes a book from the reading list, they will earn a Brag Tag as a visual recognition of their accomplishment, promoting continued reading and building a positive classroom reading culture.
