The addition of a new sound system and sound box significantly enhanced the quality of our recent musical, transforming both the technical and artistic aspects of the production. With clearer audio projection, performers' voices carried effortlessly throughout the space, ensuring that every lyric and line was heard with precision. The new sound box allowed for real-time adjustments, creating a seamless blend of vocals, music, and effects that elevated the overall experience.

Students also benefited from hands-on experience with professional-grade equipment, gaining valuable technical skills in sound operation and mixing. Their engagement in the production process deepened as they explored the creative possibilities of sound design. The audience experience was also greatly improved, as the refined audio quality made for a more immersive and impactful performance.

This investment in sound technology proved to be a vital component of our musical’s success, enhancing both the quality of our productions and the learning opportunities for our theatre students. It will continue to provide lasting benefits for future performances and technical training.

Goal

Our goal is to have equipment that students can easily use and learn on.

What will be done with my students

Students will have the chance to learn how to use a sound system as well as have equipment that is easily accessible to them. With the new rack, students are easily able to see the whole sound system as well as work with it. The new mixer will be used in the classroom to continue their learning, play their sound for musicals, etc.

Benefits to my students

Students are able to easily use the sound system with the rack. The sound system will be in full view at eye level for them. They will have everything on one level easy for performances. The sound system will be used in the classroom to further their education on sound as well as play the music for their musical practice, pantomimes, etc.
