Goal

My GOAL for my third grade students is that they will increase their reading comprehension and math skills by at least 5% as evidenced on the STAR-county required- spring test 2021which is one indicator of student's success throughout the year.
Projected Outcome and Output- To instill a love of reading and to become a lifetime learner with 21st century math skills and have fun, meaningful activities while doing such! 

What will be done with my students

ACTIVITIES- Individual and Small Group Learning Stations-
Students will listen to stories on CD's. Then write responses on wipe off activity mats.
Discover new vocabulary words using power pens.
Explore the United States and our world with bright and vivid maps.
Practice grade appropriate Math skills that will be tested on the FSA- our state tested third grade students MUST pass in Spring 2021.
I will be responsible for integrating these daily activities in the school day during our small group STATION ROTATIONS from11:30-1:00! These activities will take place daily in designated small group areas and tables during our Reading and Math time block.

BENEFITS- DON'T QUIT! Students will get Immediate feedback and be rewarded with correct answers using the power pens and answer keys.
Students will get hands on practice with Math learning games and activities.
Students will love getting out of their seats and going to enjoy listening to a story or playing a math game at a designated STATION ROTATION area!
Activities will be hands on and are vividly colored. Studies suggest students respond better to color more so than a black and white worksheet. Listening activities also are beneficial to struggling readers.
EVALUATION PLAN: Projected Outcome and Output- To instill a love of reading and to become a lifelong learner with 21st century math skills AND have FUN, MEANINGFUL activities while doing such! Students will complete a survey to reflect on how these activities benefited each of them. Also, I firmly believe that my 13 students' reading and math score will increase by at least 5% on the county required STAR test to be given Spring 2021.
