Goal

This goal of this grant is to provide an additional 3 laptops for my classroom. The laptops would be utilized by various students during small group instruction to help them reach their learning goals while also allowing me to enhance the learning of other students. 

What will be done with my students

My students will use the additional laptops during small group settings. During the small group setting, students can access multiple learning applications where they can review classroom materials and apply those principles. These applications provide students with immediate feedback and also will provide crucial much needed learning support. With more classroom technology accessible, it will also improve and make more efficient time spent during whole group instruction. Additionally, being able to utilize 3 more laptops will provide my students with greater opportunity to complete projects in mathematics and science courses.  

Benefits to my students

The benefit of having additional classroom laptops will provide our classroom the ability to structure in more small group centers during instruction. Currently our classroom only has 5 laptops and 4 desktop computers. Students will be able to work independently during small group on various applications. With the extra computers providing immediate feedback to those students, it will provide greater opportunity for one on one instruction by me with students who require additional instruction or assistance. Additionally, having more laptops will allow our classroom to utilize more technology during whole group instruction. Applications such as Kahoot and Blooket will be utilized to engage students in whole group educational review games.
