Goal

To create seamless transitions between small and whole group instruction in an Intensive Reading classroom by having direct access to the Clear Touch board. To save time administering lessons by being able to write on the iPad and maintain proximity to the students.

What will be done with my students

During whole group instruction students follow the lessons on the Clear Touch board which the teacher typically teaches from the front of the classroom. With the use of an iPad, the teacher will be able to teach while helping students with hands-on learning. The students would be able to use the iPad to control the board from their seats. In small group settings, the teacher can conduct lessons on the iPad while displaying vocabulary and text marking to students without having to interrupt learning to stand at the Clear Touch board.

Benefits to my students

Time on task will increase along with students' attention during whole group lessons. In small groups, students will be able to use the iPad to answer questions increasing student achievement.
