My goal is to have each of our students in second grade have legible handwriting that they can be proud of. Forming letters is a skill that is needed for success in all content areas, and our second graders need special large spaced paper to make that goal more attainable.

My goal is to have each of our students in second grade have legible handwriting that they can be proud of. Forming letters is a skill that is needed for success in all content areas, and our second graders need special large spaced paper to make that goal more attainable.
This paper will be used to help students form and master the art of handwriting. The special colored lines on this second grade paper helps students to know where to start and stop with their formation of letters. Students will use this paper in all content areas as well as homework. All writing pieces will be completed on this paper to help our students achieve legibility with their writing.
The benefit of using this paper will help second graders to form their letters accurately and neatly. The colored guide lines help students to be aware of the stopping and starting points of their letters and will help students to strive for legibility with their writing. Penmanship matters, and by instilling good letter formation and clear handwriting in second grade will help to set the bar as they continue into the upper grades, making them successful students with legible handwriting.
Each second grade teacher will receive two reams of loose leaf Zaner-Bloser #2422 handwriting paper to use in all content areas as well as homework to promote good penmanship.
