Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 250

These safety glasses will be used for many years and potentially impact the learning of hundreds of future Chemistry students as well as my current class. Being able to safely complete laboratory work with chemicals is of the utmost importance and we thank you for your contribution.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Personal Protective Equipment is essential in the workplace and the classroom. We need to replace a classroom set of chemical safety googles to ensure continued laboratory opportunities. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to conduct scientific investigations multiple times each month and have access to necessary personal protective gear as required. 

 

Benefits to my students

Purchase of a class set of 35 safety googles appropriate for all high science classes that can be borrowed as needed by all members of the science department. 

 

Budget Narrative

Helps protect eyes from certain airborne particulates and chemical splash
Impact resistant.
Vents are designed to help protect against liquids entering the eye area
Chemical-resistant headband
Meets the requirements of ANSI Z87.1-2003
These goggles are safe to use with contacts and eyeglasses.
