Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 200

Due to the school closure, my students and I were unable to implement it fully.  Our supplies were shipped and ready to step up before we left for spring break.  However, we did not get the chance to use them since we did not come back to the classroom after spring break.  The students were really excited to work with the light boards.  During the year, we do a projects that use repeating patterns and drawings, and we have many uses for them.  Based on the circumstances, I will update the report next semester when we are back in school.

Light Board

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Students will learn how to operate and use a light board to help them with their drawing skills and techniques.

What will be done with my students

During the school year, students will be working on projects that require a light board to trace. Projects in the classroom that use the light boards are for pattern projects that require students to trace and repeat templates they have created. In addition, advanced drawing students use the light boards to trace some of their printed images.

As of right now, only 10 students at a time can work on the light boards I have in my classroom. With individual light boards, this allows more students to be able to trace their patterns and images quicker and more efficiently instead of waiting on other students to be done tracing.

Benefits to my students

Due to large class sizes, students will benefit from being able to use their own light board without having to wait. This will help students stay on track and not fall behind on projects that require using a light source.

Budget Narrative

In the classroom, this will help students throughout the year and in the future to use the light boards to trace.
