Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
The Michael J. Searcy Family - $204.00
My goal is to utilize the devices in my classroom by offering interactive games that help students learn.
Kahoot is a fun online quiz game that students love to play. Each student has their own game on their device. The question comes up with the answer choices and the students each answer the question on their device. The students can see the scores on the board and love to see who is getting the most points. We use code names so only the teacher and the student know who they are. They get so excited so see which code names are on the leader boards. Kahoot can be used in any subject area. Teachers can upload a pre-made quiz made by another teacher or create their own to meet the needs of their students.
Padlet is an online program where the teacher can pose a question and students type in their responses. Students can see all of the responses on the board. Padlet can also be used in any subject area, with read alouds, question of the day, and in many more fun ways.
Teachers can access the reports in Kahoot to see who is getting the concept taught and who isn't. Teachers can also pull the Padlet up at the end of the day and score student responses based off the Rubric. This lets me know who might need an intervention with additional help and who might be ready for a more challenging extension activity.
These two subscriptions would benefit our whole class.
