Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 600

Teachers are have been able to access their entire in-person and virtual classroom in real time. They are able to track the students' progress as they work at their own pace. The teachers see exactly what their students are working on. It allows each teacher to givehelp when students need it. Lorenzo teachers love the digital hand raising feature which allows students to ask for help anonymously. Many teachers have created custom awards and grading stickers. They feel the ability to leave detailed feedback to each student immeadiately is vital to student success. Our reading and math coach utilizes the formative assessments for small group lessons and extra support.

 

Being able to see “live” what students are doing is really helpful. I can immediately see when students have a question. ---Sara Nelson

 

The different question types and manipulatives keep students engaged with the lesson. I used to have all my vocabulary activities on paper and used actual manipulatives, but with COVID, changed that to using the electronic manipulatives with Class Kick. ---Lindsey Simmons

Original Grant Overview

Goal

To unleash personalized, real-time feedback at the moment students need it. Teachers will provide individualized help or allow students to give each other anonymous feedback. This is a great tool for our CCPS synchronous and asynchronous communication, blended classrooms, personalized learning, and cooperative learning environments.  

 

What will be done with my students

Classkick shows teachers in real-time exactly what students are doing and who needs help so they can provide instant feedback. Using any content, teachers add drawings, text, images, audio, links and videos to provide instruction and create assessments. Instead of waiting for papers to be graded, this program allows students to move on and continue learning within a lesson/assignment rather than getting stuck in a certain place.  

 

Benefits to my students

In a mosaic of working students, teachers can see who needs help and how students are progressing through the assignments. The program keeps track of how students are doing on an in-class activity in real-time and offer instant help. Peers can switch roles from student to teacher to assist fellow students. This challenges more advanced students to achieve the level of understanding such that they can teach others, and provides additional students who are struggling more. The anonymity of requesting help makes it easier for students who need the additional support feel comfortable asking for it.

Annual subscription per school. Unlimited teachers and up to 2,000 students.
