The goal of STEAM-ing Through Virtual Reality is to expose All my students k-5 to as many virtual field trips as possible then bring in the the Arts of STEAM by providing 3D printing pens where they can draw their experiences from their field trips. How cool would it be to visit The Great Wall of China, or visit The Eiffel Tower, or explore the Constellations of the Milky Way! Then to be able to use a 3D pen to create what they saw and experienced and able to upload and share a post on Twitter and our school website.

What will be done with my students
My students will use their laptops and Nearpod to experience field trips that they may NEVER get the opportunity to experience. These field trips will be integrated into their curriculum and the students will be able to increase their learning even more by not only in the classroom but also in the arts. After the students experience their virtual field trips they will then create a 3D replica of something that relates to the field trip.
They will use their engineering skills first by designing, printing, then using the 3D printer to create their project. The students will work together collaboratively in groups in Teams to complete their STEAM projects. with Covid 19 it more important than ever for students to continue to experience fields trips and especially for minority students.
