In the mornings and afternoon, the students in 5th grade get a post it note and write a positive message to a peer and help fill their bucket. The students always remind me to do this. It's like their compliment pays itself forward.They write someone a postive message to help another person feel good while they themselves feel good about being kind and thoughtful. We always talk about being a "bucket filler" and helping someones day get better by sending a postive message to them.

Goal

My goal is to have 100% participation and all students making each other feel welcome!

What will be done with my students

My students throughout the week and across 5th grade will drop positive notes in peers' buckets to help boost each other up.

Benefits to my students

When they see notes in their buckets that means someone has filled it with a positive note and there will be an increase of positive benefits on their self esteem.
