Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 10

With the donation we recieved we were able to purchase more Boom card activities, which are interactive tasks that can be used on a computer or IPAD. These activities touch on various skills that we work on in the classroom from food safety, vocational words and skills, and daily chore tasks. We were also able to purchase supplies for scrapbooking we will continue to work on these each year they are in the program and at the end of their time in the program they will be able to take this wonderful keepsake home. In addition to the other things mentioned we were able to purchases supplies for the various enterprises we did this year. We made baskets for Mother's day, Father's Day, and also painted wooden cutouts to sell. This opportunity provided us with a way to work on many skills as we wrote a list and then went shopping out in the community for the supplies. We then came back to school and the students put together the project. Thank you so much for helping my students work on all of these skills with your donation to my classroom. It truly helped make this year a lot easier as we needed to adjust skills and tasks that we work on in the classroom!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

The goal of this grant is to provide my students with different opportunities in the classroom to grow their skills and vocational skills in order for them to be successful once the program is completed.

What will be done with my students

With the money received my students will work on office skills with their new shredder. We will be in charge of shredding other departments documents in the school. We will also use the money to buy materials to support our student enterprise where we make/sell dog and cat treats. We also make various holiday crafts to sell. Another portion of the money will go to buy a boom card app and activities. This program works on various skills that we would normally be working on out in the community but the tasks have been made virtual. Money gained from our enterprise will be used to reward the students for their hard work in the form of a special lunch and gift cards/items of their interests.

Benefits to my students

Through this grant my students will be able to work on both old and new skills and make the best out of being on campus and not being able to get off campus to work on the skills they normally would. In every situation there is good and I believe we can do great things still. My students will be so proud of the things they can make with this grant!!

Budget Narrative

The money will be used to buy materials for the enterprise activities. It will also be used to buy an app and the activities on the program to work on skills. Lastly some of the money will be used to make new task boxes for my students since we can't share them this year.
