The grant allowed me to purchase headphones for my students. Every day my students use their laptops in the classroom. The headphones are perfect to keep the students focused on their lessons. The headphones also allow the other students to work without distraction.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

The goal is for me to have enough durable headphones for each student to have his/her own. In the past, I noticed that the ear buds did not last, so I am hoping to have each student get a durable and comfortable set of headphones.

What will be done with my students

The headphones are needed because the students will use them each day to work on their weekly lessons. Every student will be issued a laptop. With headphones, the students will be able to concentrate on their lessons better. Also, it will help me with small group instruction since there will not be added noise from the computers.

Benefits to my students

Students will be able to focus and concentrate on their computer lessons.

Budget Narrative

The Califone 3068 AV Headphones are currently $89.96 for a pack of ten.(item number 1544150). I would like to get two packs of ten to equal 20 headphones and 5 individual headphones (item number 029009), which cost $9.71 for each. The subtotal is $228.47. Tax $14.28
