Our classroom goal is to have each of my students actively engaged when I am teaching. One way to achieve this is with the program Blooket. This program can be used synchronously and asynchronously. This program allows me to differentiate instruction for each student and gives both educator and student immediate feedback.

Blooket:

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to Village Oaks Elementary School, for $35.88. We extend our gratitude for your continued support of the Art & Instructional Resource funding through your grant making activity.

This grant was used to assist us in assessing the students learning and adjust our teaching to accommodate our 21st Century learners. This is one of the many examples of how this program benefits’ both the educator and the students: To begin the school year 1st quarter Integrated Arts / Instructional Resource(IR) learning goal(s) for kindergarten through 5th grade was recognizing, learning, and applying what  responsible Digital Citizenship means.

I was able to use Blooket to create a review and use the game feature to engage 100% of the students. The 4th grade IR group was my controlled subject group. Their first game was done September 21, 2021, which resulted in a 60% success rate and then repeated October 19, 2021, for a success rate of 78% which is an 18% increase. Learning is happening!

Thanks Again

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Our classroom goal is to have each of my students actively engaged when I am teaching. One way to achieve this is with the program Blooket. This program can be used synchronously and asynchronously. This program allows me to differentiate instruction for each student and gives both educator and student immediate feedback.

What will be done with my students

I am the Art Educator and I plan on utilizing Blooket across k-5 grade levels in Art Education and in Technology. Blooket is like Kahoots in that it is a quiz-based learning platform that works for hybrid learning and flipped classroom situations by making learning fun and engaging. The platform has “millions” of pre-made games that are created by experts and educators that can be customized to fit any learning environments. We will play a Blooket in junction with kahoots to kick off a class or use it as a fun way to wrap things up. I will be able to create formative assessments by using analytics from game reports.

Benefits to my students

With the addition of technology in the classroom it is more important than ever to find ways to engage the students on their learning level. Also, the students need to expand their understanding and usage of appropriate learning platforms.

Budget Narrative

This program is similar to kahoots but it's the --"New" assessment tool and the children don't even realize that they are learning.
Thank You!
