Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 433

The "Readers are Superheroes" grant has helped to build excitement and motivation about reading to our students. The students at GGE have been very excited to read or listen to all of these fabulous new Sunshine State Jr. books that the grant provided. Each primary K-2 class was given a chart with all 15 books on it. After reading  the book aloud to the class, the teacher put a superhero sticker on the chart next to the book that was read. The students and teachers have verbalized how enjoyable these books have been! This grant allowed our students to hear and/or read 15 new and wonderful pieces of literature. All 15 books are a great addition to our school library collection. Thank you very much for providing our students with these fabulous books that will help to instill a love of literacy for many years to come!
