The curiosity, creativity, and self-awareness fostered through the Seacrest Arts programs prepare students to fearlessly adapt and flourish in their rapidly-shifting world. By prioritizing process over results and discovery above output, students learn to take risks and see opportunities where problems once existed. Skills that will prepare them to be invaluable collaborators in crafting our future world. Having these tools in the art studio, students will be able to bring their imagination to life. Our goal is to have all students be able to bring their designed objects out of their heads and into the real, physical world. This will allow the students to get hands-on experience to inspect, analyze, and build off their creations with mixed media projects.
-Middle and upper school students will be able to use these tools to create their custom theater set and props.
-Students will be able to create their own custom canvas stretchers and frames.
-Tools will be utilized to build projects for interdisciplinary projects across campus.
-Tools will be used in our new STEAM building.
-Students will be able to apply these tools to all of their concepts and learn real-life skills.
-Students will enhance their safety awareness with these tools.
-Students will be able to experience woodworking and learn a new craft.
-Students will be able to apply their engineering skills to create one-of-a-kind projects.
These resources will allow my students to take their concepts to the next level. Giving them the tools they need will allow them to break through traditional ways of thinking and constructing. This creates both excitement and a better understanding of the design process as they gain hands-on experience from conception to creation.
-Middle and upper school students will be able to use these resources not only in the art studio but in science when creating their own experiments.
-Students will be able to explore the business of art by creating in the three-dimensional world.
-They will obtain a new understanding of architectural design and construction technology.
-The entire Seacrest campus, from the lower school to upper school, all will benefit from these tools. There will be more artwork displayed throughout the hallways and more authentic projects will be created for all to see. This will assist in showcasing what Seacrest really has to offer the community.
-Students learn that it is perfectly acceptable to fail on the first try and then try again in order to improve. As students begin to understand that failure is part of the process, they become less afraid to attempt and execute new and different ideas in life. This builds students’ confidence and teachers enjoy the results of having self-motivated, self-confident students.
-Students will be able to explore their curiosity and travel down new life paths that they once never thought they would be able to.
Art is no longer confined to paintings and sculpture. Seacrest will be able to enhance all of our performances and shows so that the local community of Naples can be involved with what is happening on campus and take enjoyment to new highs. Seacrest Arts are expanding and continuing to impact more and more students annually. We are pushing the boundaries of what entails our campus and getting more and more involved with the surrounding area. We want to be seen as a creative beacon to all who surround us and can be used as a resource to benefit the Naples community.
