Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Yasmin Saad and Matthew Doyle - $172.00
The goal of this project is to motivate and incentivize student growth at Parkside in the area of mathematics. Throughout the year our grade level teams and math teachers are engaging teams in a variety of grade level data tracking activities for students to continue to grow in their: conceptual understanding, procedural understanding and build their procedural flexibility in the way they navigate and solve math problems. Our goal is for every student at Parkside Elementary School to make a minimum of 1 year of growth in the area of math.
Throughout the year students will be updating their data binders, and recognized for their success meeting grade level criteria through end of module assessments, district benchmarks, and participating in math clubs and additional math opportunities. The grant will provide PSE the opportunity to provide different prizes and awards to students throughout the year celebrating their success and growth towards their math goals.
Students will be able to feel successful and be recognized for their improvement in the area of mathematics. Throughout the year we will be able to celebrate student success and empower students to take risks and persevere in their math learning. By encouraging and motivating our students in the area of math, students will be able to perform at a higher level and have more opportunities as they transition into middle school course work.
The budget includes a variety of materials to provide students at PSE the opportunity to be rewarded throughout the year for improving in the area of math and reaching their math goals. All items can be purchased through Amazon.
