Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 30

The students were able to utilize the games and timers. The purchase allowed all students to actively participate and interact successfully to compete with each other in our classroom. We will continue to practice and hope to qualify for competitions in the future.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Our Chess Club goal is to educate students in the strategies of playing chess successfully. 

 

What will be done with my students

We meet once a month in our school. It is an extension of providing students with other learning and engaging opportunities. We will practice how to use each piece accordingly and participate in tournaments, and competitions available to us. 

 

Benefits to my students

Strategic thinking, use logical reasoning, mathematical skills, and build character by working with each other to improve our chess playing.
