Our goal is to add some fun into each month of our learning.
The students will be able to participate in hands on learning with the items purchased for themes each month. For example, September: apples, raft making items, and items for science experiments, October: owl pellets, pumpkins, glow items, November: readers theater dress up items, past and present items, hay and December: baking supplies, and items for tall tales and then so on for each month of school. When the children have their own materials to explore and participate with they are engaged in their learning and excited to be in school.
The student benefits are unmeasurable and unforgettable! Everything they learn about comes to life in a real way so that they make life long connections. This type of hands on learning reaches all learners and brings together all subjects. They will be engrossed in reading, writing, science, social studies, and math and be able to take their learning outside the classroom in many ways.
Items will be purchased monthly for themed hands on activities.
