Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The students absolutely LOVE these wobble stools. They use them daily and take turns sitting on them when they are feeling a little extra fidgety. The students tell me over and over how much they help and how glad they are to have them in our class. I am pretty certain they wish we had more!

The students have been learning how to share the wobble stools throughout the day and use them when they are needed. They are doing a great job at regulating their use and regulating themselves while using them. I find that a lot of my "movers and shakers" really enjoy sitting here while working because it allows them the freedom of movement without having to move from their seats. Student focus, concentration, and attention definitely increases from those students that are using them.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Kids like to move! Unfortunately, they are stuck in a seat the majority of their day at school. Wobble stools would allow students the ability to move while learning.

What will be done with my students

With the purchase of wobble stools, my students would be able to focus on their work without being stuck sitting still. Students would be given the opportunity to use a wobble stool as needed and take turns sharing this incredible resource with their classmates.

Benefits to my students

It has been scientifically proven that kids need to move to learn. Using wobble stools in the classroom allows students to remain at their desk, while still moving and completing their work. I often find many students leaning back in their chair or sitting in an unsafe manner. Wobble stools would meet their need for movement in a safe way while still allowing them to stay focused and productive in class.
