Goal

To promote a positive learning environment that enable students to grow academically and in their mindset. 

What will be done with my students

As a Special Education Inclusion teacher, I want to honor my students efforts and accomplishments. For Special Education students to choose a grade level reading book and pass a Reading Counts test can be very difficult for them. Earning Brag-Spirit Sticks can help to motivate students to work hard and meet their Reading Counts Points goals. 

Benefits to my students

When Students feel that their efforts are honored by their teachers, Administration, and fellow classmates, they are more willing to utilize their free time to read and then take assessments to evaluate their comprehension. By utilizing this incentive program with my K-5 ESE students, they will be invested in their learning, enabling them opportunities to grow as an independent reader.
