Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 100

Thankyou so much for donating the money for much needed supplies and equipment for our Entrepreneur Program! We are so excited to have lots of extra supplies and equipment to help us craft our projects. Our students have a wide range of projects that include making stickers, buttons, mugs, and so much more. Each fifth grade class has around 5 groups and each goup has their own business with a brand name and product. We are teaching our students how to work as a team and be leaders. They will do a pitch presentation similar to the shark tank show where they pitch their idea to a panel and receive funding for additional supplies and materials. Thanks again for you kindness and support!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

The goal for this request it to fund our brand new entrepreneur program at Parkside Elementary school for the entire 5th grade.

What will be done with my students

Our new district wide program for 5th grade is to explore entrepreneurship through action! Our students will learn how to build products and services, pitch them for funding, and then present the projects to the "sharks." So fun! Rather than just using basic art supplies, I would like for our students to think bigger.

Benefits to my students

These items serve to benefit my students because the first two quarters they are going to develop their product. They will need the means to produce their product. These extra cricut supplies and machines will give them so much added creativity to make anything they can imagine! The most expensive thing to buy is always the hardware/machines, so giving us the main component helps us buy supplies cheaper the next school year. The bolt on LCD adafruit displays will attach to our existing circuit playground devices to give them the ability to create a visual/tech elements for their products.

Budget Narrative

Each item was priced on Amazon except for the circuit playground which was priced directly with adafruit with some additional budget room for tax/shipping with that company.
