These books had a tremendous impact on the success, and more importantly the confidence of the readers in my class. Every student was able to successfully complete all of the Sunshine State Junior books at their own pace. The ability to do so relieved any stress and helped differentiate the pace of the class. I'm proud to say that these books helped boost their test scores into the top quartile, placing them beyond the year-end expectations. Thank you for your generosity and helping to shape these young readers!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

I would like to add all of this year's sponsored Sunshine State Jr. books to my classroom library, which will allow every student to successfully complete each title at their own pace this year.

What will be done with my students

Every year, the Sunshine State Jr. books are selected by FAME (Florida Association of Media in Education). With this grant, my students will have access to all of this year's titles. They will be able to check out the books directly from me and will complete them at their convenience. Our school has an incentive program for those who complete all of the books, so the demand for these titles from our local and Lake Park libraries are high. This grant will put the books into their fingertips!

Benefits to my students

All of my students will have the necessary access to this year's Sunshine State Jr. books. Students who complete all of these titles receive incentives from our school.
