Impact to My Classroom

My students have been positively impacted by having a laptop charger at school because it allowed them to charge laptops in the classroom overnight or duirng the day as needed. Students were able to take home their laptops to use for research, homework, Canvas Resources, etc. and not have to worry about bringing their charger back and forth. Parents and students found it very helpful to keep one charger at home, while one is stored at school in our laptop charging station. The best part about this grant is that the it will impact students for years to come. The chargers will be used each year for new classes and students. Thank you for providing the funds for laptop charging cords for the classroom charging station, there will be no snarled cords, lost cords, or dead student laptops anymore!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

(All Subjects) The goal is to have fully charged student laptops each day for learning.

What will be done with my students

Our wonderful PTO has supplied each classroom with laptop charging stations for 24 laptops/students. Students also take home their laptops to use for research, homework, Canvas Resources, etc. Students may leave their one CCPS provided laptop charging cord at home for the school year. With the purchase of laptop charging cords for the classroom charging station, there will be no snarled cords, lost cords, or dead student laptops.

Benefits to my students

The benefit to students is having a charged laptop to use in the classroom for instruction and practice, as well as at home for homework and projects.
