Goal

My goal is to have a class management system that will increase positive behavior in the classroom and follows the school wide implementation of PBIS.  

What will be done with my students

Desk pets will be part of a classroom management system. Based on the students' positive choices, students will get rewarded through the desk pet system. They will get to adopt a desk pet that includes a home. Throughout the year, their continued positive behavior choices will allow them to choose different accessories for their pet, and even a new desk pet friend. 

Benefits to my students

Students will benefit as they see that their positive behaviors are rewarded, which will help to keep a positive classroom environment. Students will also gain responsibility in having to handle their "adopted" pet with care: they will have to keep their pet's home neat, not lose any items, and not play with their pet during instructional times. "Pet Daycare" will be utilized for any negative choices, which will help to influence the students to continue on the positive choices road.  

Budget Narrative

The budget of $118.70 will cover the expenses of the desk pets, their homes, and all accessories for 3 classes of students. Tax is also included in that price, and shipping is free.
