Thank you so very much for funding our classroom grant "Enhanced Technology" for a class set of wireless mice! My students are able to utilize the mice by completing their online classwork with ease and comfort. Prior to the mice the students were having to use the small touch screen mouse pad on their laptops which made assignments take much longer. They are now working more productively and efficiently.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

The goal is to provide each of my students with a wireless mouse to make their district provided laptops more student user friendly to navigate various learning opportunities online.

What will be done with my students

Since the start of pandemic most of our learning has been turned to the use of technology. We were fortunate enough that each student was provided with their own laptop through the district. I have found that students tend to have difficulty using the touchpad mouse on their laptops. It sometimes takes them extra time to complete a given task with issues on the mouse pad. An external mouse would make it easier for them to use their laptops and navigate.

Benefits to my students

Having a wireless mouse makes a laptop more student friendly. This, in turn, will make it easier for students to navigate their computers and their learning. Right clicking and double clicking are made especially easier when using an external mouse rather than a laptop's touchpad.

The budget includes 22 mice and 48 AA batteries for the mice which are not included.
