Goal
My goal is for STEM education to create critical thinkers as they collaborate with each other in a fun and interactive way. Students will learn to solve problems as they work in small groups/independently while creating their structures.
What will be done with my students
Students will be given the opportunity to creatively
design and build structures during DEAL time! The various stem bins will encourage students to plan, design and build creative structures that will ultimately foster a LOVE for STEM.
At the end of the year, students will host a PBIS celebration for second graders. Second graders will be invited to attend Nunez Builder’s Workshop where the Builder's Team will lead STEM centers.
Benefits to my students
STEM activities will empowers students to work collaboratively and develop servant-leaders skills as they lead their school and community. STEM will help students to deal with real-world situations and apply their learnings to create, innovate and discover new things. Students will learn to love STEM, and they will develop a passion and excitement for learning while connecting all four STEM subjects.
