Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 30

Students were able to practice correct letter formation using the magnetic capital letter blocks. Correction pincher grasp was also practiced. The students love being able to independently practice their letters. Lakeshore Learning was also having a sale during this time so we are able to order an Instant Learning Center that helps with letter recognition for lower and upper case letters. We were also able to order another letter building kit that helps with letter formation. We were so blessed by your contribution. Thank you!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

To encourage our younger students that writing and learning their letters can be fun and that printing their letters isn't scary.

What will be done with my students

Students will use the magnetic learning letter tracers to practice the formation of letters while also learning the proper pincher grip.

Benefits to my students

Students love magnets and are fascinated by them. By giving them an engaging product to use (from Lakeshore Learning), students will be excited to practice writing their letters using the correct pincher grasp while guiding the ball through the curves and lines of each letter.
