The privacy dividers have been incredibly helpful to our classroom test-taking environment. Students are able to focus on their own assessment without the fear of "wandering eyes." The dividers keep students focused on their own assessment, which helps with early finishers, test-taking anxiety, and students with attention deficit disorders. The dividers provide a private place for students to take assessments and complete assignments and are a great addition to the classroom!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

Our goal is to ensure the security of test items during statewide, district-wide, and school-wide assessments.

What will be done with my students

4th grade students take a variety of assessments throughout the year, including the new FAST assessments. Because of limited space, students are testing in their classrooms, where security of test items is not always guaranteed. Therefore, we would like to purchase privacy dividers to be used during testing and other assessments so students can focus on their own screens and papers.

Benefits to my students

Students with privacy dividers are more likely to remain focused on their work. Students often have anxiety when they see other classmates finishing their work before them and they rush through assignments. With the privacy dividers, students will remain focused on their own tests and will not be able to see whether other students are complete or not. Additionally, privacy dividers will eliminate the possibility of students cheating or looking at other classmates' tests.

Budget Narrative

To accommodate our entire grade level, we are requesting 160 privacy dividers. A set of 40 dividers costs $79.99, of which we would need 4 sets. Calculated tax is $20.80, bringing the total to $340.76
