The Jewelry Student Leadership Club has made fun crafts and items for themselves and others. They have made bracelets out of UV beads and rubber bands. They have made bracelets as a giveback for our team for our visitors in Leadership Day! They loved making them and sharing them with others. We have made clay earrings for our moms or someone special and bead pens too. They enjoy making these hands on items and showing them off to other peers and teachers. Thank you for contributing to our success and materials needed for this activities and crafts!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to lead my student leadership team to have fun making jewelry. My student leadership team consists of second graders that want to learn more about how to make different types of accessories.

What will be done with my students

My student leadership team will learn how to make friendship bracelets, clay earrings, bows, lanyards, and more accessories. I love making my own accessories and I want to share that passion with other students. This is my second year doing this leadership team and girls and boys enjoy making jewelry.

Benefits to my students

Students will learn how to follow directions and have to be creative. They will learn how to use their fine motor skills to make the jewelry. They get to learn skills that can help them promote their creativity and maybe seek an interest to do this as a hobby or career later on. Students are entertained and they love sharing and gifting the jewelry they make.
