Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 65

This is my 4th year of running a Spirit Leader group for TBE kindergarten -5th grade. We are now up to 65 students who applied for this role and have been accepted for the job. Thank you to Champions for Learning we were able to order more pom-poms, as our group keeps increasing. It is truly amazing to see the cheers and chants the students create to build their schools spirit. The Spirit Leaders preform at multiple events a year, including assemblies, and Leadership Day. I am excited to continue this journey next year and watch our students shine and share their spirit and love for our school.

What will be done with my students

Spirit Leaders meet every Wednesday morning to practice school cheers and chants to promote school spirit. Spirit Leaders perform at various events through out the year including assemblies, fundraisers, and school wide celebrations.

Benefits to my students

Spirit Leaders encourage students to be a part of our awesome school by showing their spirit! It gives students the opportunity to be a part of a K-5th team. Students come up with chants/dances to teach their peers.

When I started this morning club two years ago, I had about 25 students apply, we have increased to now over 80 students participating in grades K-5!

Budget Narrative

We were fortunate enough to have a high school donate their previous years pom-poms to our school, however we have grown in numbers and need to purchase more poms poms. The budget above is to purchase 60 sets of pom-poms for our Spirit Leaders.
