A most heartful THANK YOU for all the contributors who made this performance possible!

It is a rare thing that our students get to go to see the movies much less a live show. This was an amazing experience for all these kiddos from preK - 2nd to see a live perfromance!

This was the goal we were trying to achieve for these students. It is beyond questionable that they throughly enjoyed it and all involved can't thank you enough for this opportunity. The thank you notes you will be recieving are so very cute and artistic, I hope you enjoy them.'

Thank you too to Dani and Sydney for coming out to see the performance as well. It was very kind of them to come and experience this with us. ( they took loads of pictures)

This theater company typically does 2 different childrens books a year. We did - on the advice of the theater company, change the play from "The True Story of The Three Little Pigs" to "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" By Judith Viorst. And their advice was correct. There was student participation - perhaps a a bit over zealous at times - when the kids were trying to tell Alexander that this was not a good choice and that was sweet to see how they got into it and were trying to help him make a good decision.

Even teachers who could hear the laughter and clapping in other parts of the building said it made their hearts happy to hear such joy during the performance.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous donation. You can be certain it was well worth every penny.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to bring the theater program, "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs" to our school for our Kindergarten through Third Grade students to enjoy!

What will be done with my students

Throughout the school year our students will read different versions of the Three Little Pigs. We will read about the pigs' version of the night and the wolf's version of the events. Then, "The True Story of Three Little Pigs" will come to our school and our students will get to enjoy the live performance. Students will then be able to compare/contrast the different versions of the story.

Benefits to my students

Our students will learn many valuable lessons throughout the story reading and the play performance.
