Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 67

As students use screens more and more, we notice that fine motor strength is underdeveloped.  Not only are students' hands and fingers weak, they struggle to push through and continue tasks that require motor strength and development.  Tasks such as opening containers, writing notes, or playing instruments cause frustration and students have little opportunity to develop.  Going back to the ipad for classwork, social time, reading, etc.  dominates the day.

This grant funded some really cool purchases that challenge students to build hand and finger strength, develop motor skills, and think about these skills in a new light.  Thank you for helping the students persevere and develop grit to overcome frustration caused by iPads and screens!
