With this donation, our classroom was able to purchase headphones for our students. The headphones were cordless and could not connect to any technological device. The point of the headphones is to block out noise that could be distracting or annoying to students while they are working or taking an assessment. Many students requested the headphones when working on projects or when taking a test so that they could focus on their work and complete their tasks in an environment comfortable for them. The headphones helped students to concentrate without distractions, which positively affected their academic success.

Goal

My goal is to allow students to work quietly without distractions so that they may be as successful as possible.

What will be done with my students

Students will receive the option to utilize noise cancelling headphones while completing assignments, classwork, or assessments. This allows students to stay focused on their tasks and not get distracted while they work.

Benefits to my students

School can be very overstimulating, so it is important to provide opportunities for students to be able to focus. Noise cancelling headphones provide a quieter environment for a students to be able to think and focus on their work. This helps avoid distraction and allows students to be more successful.

Budget Narrative

Each headphone is priced at $8.00. Our class needs all 18 of the headphones available, thus the price for 18 headphones at $8.00 a piece is $144.00. Tax is $9.36 for a total of $153.36.
