Goal

We would love to be able to offer photography club to more students, but we need the equipment to make that possible. Our goal is to obtain four more cameras to open the possibilities of photography club to even more students throughout the building. 

What will be done with my students

Students will work in small groups to learn the basics of photography through hands-on experiences. We will meet regularly to learn how to setup our cameras, how to adjust features of the cameras to capture the best images based on the settings, and how to adjust (edit) those images once they have been captured. Students will be contributing their photos to the school yearbook so they can make an impact from their time in the photography club. 

Benefits to my students

In our school, we have Student Leadership Clubs that meet regularly to give students the opportunity to find their voice and develop leadership skills. After our inaugural year of having student leadership clubs, we took student feedback and are now offering a photography club for those who have discovered their passion behind the camera's lens. These students have the opportunity to capture special moments throughout the school year of students, families, and the community of Eden Park Elementary. 

Budget Narrative

The items listed in the budget are cameras and memory cards that will be needed for a successful photography club. The equipment requested are four digital cameras and four memory cards.
