I wanted to create a unique space for students that will allow them to be creative, effectively communicate and sharpen their critical thinking skills while they are in the Media Center . Since every student is unique I wanted different activities for students to use during their Makers Space time. Makerspaces allows students to create and produce their own products to not only express their learning but also encompass them into their daily lives. Thank you, to the generous donor for making Makers Space happen for my students.

Since the day the boxes arrived, filled with unique activites, the students have been having so much fun while learning during their Makers Space time. It has been so amazing to observe the students choose which Makers Spece activity they would like to participate in. From coloring books to rubrics cubes to puzzles, every student has found something that has spark their creative engines.

Goal

My goal is to create a unique space for students that will allow them to be creative, effectively communicate and sharpen their critical thinking skills while they are in the Media Center

What will be done with my students

Makerspaces allows students to create and produce their own products to not only express their learning but also encompass them into their daily lives. I would like to add critical thinking activities for students to us while they are in the Media Center.

Benefits to my students

We would like to have a variety of creative and fun activities for students to use when in the Media Center.
