The outcome of this project was so beneficial to my students and building their leadership skills. With the materials donated to me, I was able to run a student club all school year to create friendship bracelets. The students were able to spread kindness, make new friends, and unwind once a month after working hard in school. Without these resources, the cllub would not have been possible so thank you very much for your kind donation!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

The goal of this grant is to buy materials such as string, beads, and kits for my Friendship Bracelet Making club.

What will be done with my students

This club will be offered to students in grades 3-5 at Shadowlawn Elementary, a Leader In Me school. Students who join my club will meet in my classroom once a month, during related arts time, to make friendship bracelets. I want to make sure the students who are involved in my club have the materials and supplies they will need. Throughout the school year, we will save bracelets we create to eventually sell around campus. The money we make selling these bracelets, we will donate to the Naples Humane Society down the street from our school.

Benefits to my students

Friendship Bracelet Making club will be a time for students to relax and do an activity they enjoy with their peers. This time will be something they can look forward to all month. The privilege of being in this club can be taken away from students who are not continuing to work hard with their academics. Clubs encourage students to be involved at school and builds a positive school environment!
