Goal

The goal of this grant is to prepare students for the Star test that are part of the Florida's new standards called F.A.S.T assessment .The students will use a book with questions preparation for the test. Each section includes short passages, poems, vocabulary questions, and word knowledge. It will helpful to prepare students for the beginning of the year, middle of the year and end of the academic year.

What will be done with my students

Students will meet once a week before school from 7:40- 8:10 students will be given the opportunity to practice different types of strategies before the major assessment. The different types of questions have a similar as the real Star Reading test The key benefits provide a vivid participation answering reading passages, vocabulary questions and word knowledge used in context. Also students will practice and discuss the different types of questions ask in the test.  

Benefits to my students

The main benefits is to build confidence by assisting and preparing before the real test .Also reduces test anxiety by creating and allowing low - stress environment .The format of this book is short practice test encourages ongoing practice. 

Budget Narrative

Students will use these practice test books for the preparation for the Star Test. The students will meet before school once a week.
