Goal

My goal is to have 100% engagement from students during lessons and reward them for their hard work.

Category

School-Wide, Grade-Level, Or Class Events/Programs - Parent Nights, Honor Roll Celebrations, EOY Events, etc.

What will be done with my students

Students will be working on math standards in a fun and engaging way. During Glow Day, students will rotate around the room working on math centers. They will utilize neon markers and highlighters to answer an array of problems. Glow Party is also a favorite end of year celebration.

Benefits to my students

Some of our math concepts are difficult and cause anxiety and frustration. Glow room transformations are relaxing and aid with lowering anxiety in students. Thus allowing them to focus fully on the benchmark. Glow Day also builds a love of learning and promotes community in the classroom.

Budget Narrative

The glow room will be used a couple times throughout the year and reused in future years. Items will be purchased from Amazon with free shipping.
