Goal

My goal is to help my students with emotional/behavioral challenges and disabilities and students who are on the spectrum accessing and using the platform Flocabulary. This platform presents academic material in song form which can make my students enjoy, learn, and retain information and vocabulary in all subject areas.

What will be done with my students

Academic lessons will be supplemented with the platform Flocabulary. This will help the student to retain information and vocabulary. This grant will allow the IBI-3 unit in corkscrew middle school to have the Flocabulary subscription in science and Social Studies. This platform will provide the students with an interactive and musical way to access academic course topics.  

Benefits to my students

Students, in my IBI-3 classroom, struggle with some behaviors that can make it difficult for them to learn in regular/ordinary academic ways. Flocabulary can help them access academic information in a a way that they can enjoy and learn from at the same time. The material is presented in a song form which makes information and vocabulary retention little easier. The interactive activities on this platform will allow my students to be involved in the learning process in an expressive way.  

Budget Narrative

The $138 will cover one subscription to Flocabulary for one year and will be accessible to the IBI-3 unit, science and social studies class 6th t0 8th grades, at Corkscrew Middle School.
