Goal

As a first time kindergarten teacher my goal is to have hands on ready-to-use literacy centers that encourage student collaboration while reinforceing the skills and standards I am teaching in class.

What will be done with my students

Students will use the materials to…
Explore and learn the alphabet.
Identify and sort a variety of miniatures to increase reading and vocabulary skills.
Learn sight words and use them to build self-confidence in reading.
Develop phonemic awareness skills in identifying beginning, ending, and rhyming words.

 

 

Benefits to my students

Students will benefit in reading, writing, and language skills to master key kindergarten standards.
