Goal
Our school is focusing on closing the gap on state test scores for our ESE and ELL populations. Both of these populations benefit from the use of color images, graphs and charts to support and markedly improve their comprehension and retention of content.

What will be done with my students
Students will be using primary sources in color to increase understanding and allow for application of civics content throughout the year. The use of color has been proven to increase a students ability to retain and analyze information. My goal is to print color resources when applicable to facilitate student acquisition of vital information in preparation for our state end of course exam which is worth 30% of their final grade.
Benefits to my students
By using color printed materials, not only will it help my ELL and ESE students, but it will support all students. Civics is a rigorous course and making content easier to digest is essential to student success. This printer will help facilitate the goal of closing the achievement gap for these students this school year.
