Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Lipman Family Farms - $503.00
Students will improve their reading by the end of the year thanks to the positive reinforcement provided by the claw machine.
Electronics - Personal computers/tablets/iPads, headphones, charging cables, computer mice, etc.
Students will be provided an opportunity to use the claw machine when they achieve lead measures towards their reading goals. Lead measures are smaller, measurable tasks that students complete that are tied towards reaching their goal. Often these tasks are a set amount of lessons passed or points earned towards reading.
Students will be motivated to meet high expectations, as only quality work will enable them to play the claw machine.
I was around students that were playing a claw machine that had a high win rate and they were completely captivated, constantly returning to the machine again and again.
The device requested allows for setting a high win rate. This will recreate the captivation, only this time now it will be focused around the kids wanting to do their work effectively so they can play to win!
The Vevor claw machine hits the point of balance where the quality is high enough for the children to feel like the won a trip to the arcade, while still being economically feasible. It allows for changes in the win-lose ratio, making sure students will experience success when they operate the claw machine.
Speaking of prizes, a claw machine is nothing without prizes. The claw machine I witnessed my students going wild over, had rubber ducks. The students loved the ducks. Having ducks as prizes are both desirable, and economical. The keychain plushies are fashionable backpack ornaments. The party favors are the beloved fidgets, some of which will need the gumball capsules.
This combination of loveable prizes, and wonderful gaming experience will keep the students attention throughout the entire year. Changing the prizes up throughout the school year refreshes the experience, keeping the students motivated.
By funding this grant, you will help 103 5th graders this year. However, like my previous grant for 3D printers, I am still using those 3D printers. Those 3D printers will make extra special print outs that will go into this claw machine. That means this investment will live on to support hundreds of more student for years to come, just like the last time.
