Original Grant Overview

Goal

Our goal is to offset the cost of the Raider teams equipment and competition fees.

Physical Education Equipment - Rackets, bats, balls, nets, jump ropes, etc. 

 

What will be done with my students

Annually the GGHS Raider team competes in the Collier County Raider Competition, To provide JROTC cadets a competitive program in a military skill event and to mirror the State Raider competition as close as possible. The teams will complete in 5 events: One-Rope Bridge, Cross Country Rescue, Team Run, Tire Flip, and Raider Fitness Challenge 

 

Benefits to my students

Every year students need to develop strength and endurance. Students will use weighted vest to assist in strength and conditioning for competition. 

 

Budget Narrative

Every year students develop significant blisters on their hands due to pulling ropes etc. Students will have their hands protected allowing them to maximize every opportunity during training and competition. Students will use weighted vest to assist in strength and conditioning for competition
