Goal

As a pre-k special education teacher playing is a big part of our learning. My students can learn many life and social skills through play. In order to keep play engaging and meaningful I need proper storage to display the toys.

Category

Class Furniture - Carpets, choral risers, transitional seating/desks, etc.

What will be done with my students

Providing proper storage for our classroom toys will be used on a daily basis in our classroom. This will allow me to change out our toys that are available to the students. I match up our toys to our curriculum unit every week or month depending on our theme. Having child friendly shelves for the toys allows for more engagement and learning.

Benefits to my students

This project benefits my students learning socially, emotionally, and academically. Have child friendly toy storage allows for more engagement with the toys during play. Some skills we work on during play is communication, sharing, identification, and many more.

Budget Narrative

This grant will provide students with child friendly storage to the classroom toys.
