Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 500

This grant has provided students the opportunity for increased engagement within many science and math activities in all grade levels here at PLE. These boards have allowed teachers to better support their students in identifying misconceptions and simple errors more quickly as well as increase movement during reviews, lessons, and more. Students have participated in critical thinking tasks, science labs, and every day math review with the use of these boards. Some of the activities that were successfully completed thanks to this grant include: kindergarten was able to draw and label their observations of pumpkins, 1st and 2nd grades were able to plan out and edit their thinking when working with pushes and pulls, 3rd grade was able to create predictions and edit their thinking while working with light energy, 4th grade uses them almost daily during their intervention block to review math benchmarks in a creative way, and 5th grade was able to complete different critical thinking stations involving forms of energy. These are only some of the many ways that this grant has reached our students here at PLE. The best part of it all, is that these boards will continue to be used in years to come! We cannot thank our investors enough!
