Goal

My goal is to be able to fund using the IXL program for my students. They are able to practice math skills in a fun and engaging way, receiving immediate feedback for each problem and allows for differentiation within the classroom.

What will be done with my students

My students will have access to thousands of math skill of all grade levels that they are able to practice on their computers daily at school or at home throughout the entire school year. I am able to assign specific skills that align to our Florida standards that are currently being taught in math and can either choose to have all students working on the same problem at once so I can get real time feedback on if they are understanding, or students are also able to work at their own pace on their own individual problems. They are told immediately within the program if they got the question correct or not and an explanation on how to do it correctly. I also have this integrated within my "celebration station" so when students master a skill, they are able to spin our wheel or shoot a basket. This gets students excited to perform well on these tasks and love to cheer each other on.  

Benefits to my students

Students receive immediate feedback on if they got a math question correct or not and can use that to learn from. I am able to also be specific in what skills I assign based on each student's needs. I am able to have students who struggle to practice foundational skills and those who excel to push beyond just the basics. Students can also access all of the math resources at home, so parents love to be able to encourage the practice at home without feeling overwhelmed about finding their own resources. 

Budget Narrative

The $599 covers up to 50 students who have access to all IXL math resources for up to a full year, which means they are able to access math practice through all breaks until the beginning of the following school year.
