Goal

The goal is to expand my personal classroom library with a diverse selection of historical fiction books that align with our middle school history curriculum, as well as popular book series and titles requested by students. This collection will serve as a vital resource for students across the school, filling the gap left by the absence of a dedicated school library and catering to both academic and personal interests.

Category

Learning Aids - Sunshine state book sets, robotics kits, puzzle boards, science models, engineering supplies, etc.

What will be done with my students

Students will have access to a wide range of books, including historical fiction that ties into our classroom themes and popular titles they have personally requested. They will engage in independent reading, participate in book discussions, and complete projects that connect their reading to both their academic studies and personal interests, fostering a love for reading and history.

Benefits to my students

Expanding the library will provide students with a rich resource to explore history through engaging narratives, while also offering them books they are excited to read for pleasure. This dual approach will promote literacy, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of reading. For students without access to a school library, this collection will be an essential tool for both academic enrichment and personal enjoyment.

Budget Narrative

The requested funds will also be used to purchase a variety of historical fiction books, popular book series, and student-requested titles that span different genres and interests.
