A Champion For Learning - $1,170.24
My goal is to get new shirts for our unit so when we go out in the community we are all wearing the same shirt and representing Naples High.
Clothing/Backpacks - T-shirts/jerseys, concert performance shirts, backpacks, duffle bags, etc.
I am a teacher at Naples High working in the Transitional Work Study Program. Our program services students with cognitive disabilities from 9th grade to 22 years old. Once students have graduated, they continue in the program learning life skills.
These skills include but are not limited to; cleaning house, doing dishes, vacuuming, making a bed, loading/unloading a dishwasher, cleaning a bathroom, hanging up and folding clothes, cooking, learning to make a phone call, etc. In addition to learning home living skills our students also go out into the community for on the job training, learning to go grocery shopping, learning to order off a menu, go to Naples players, and attend many fun activities throughout the community.
When we are out in the community we like to present Naples High and look our best. We find that when we are all wearing a same shirt we look polished and are very proud to represent the Golden Eagles. We also wear these shirts to events such as Special Olympics, the Collier County talent show, end of the year ceremonies, our annual cookout, and so much more.
The benefits of my students having their own shirts is so that they can wear them out into the community and look like a wonderful group of young adults representing Naples High transitional work study program. The students are always so thrilled to have a new shirt to wear out and about on the town.
This is for 69 shirts with our logo on each shirt and taxes.
